This part of my site is for all of you who want to get started in CD trading, but aren't exactly sure how to go about it. Yes, I was once a newbie, so I know where you are coming from. Since then, many different people have helped me learn the ropes. I'm hoping I can do something similar for you. Here are some do's and don'ts.

1. On your first b&p (blanks and postage), you will send two envelopes. One will obviously be bigger than the other. The smaller of the two envelopes should be protected by bubble wrap to make sure that the CDs arrive the way they should.

2. Postage may sound simple, but MANY people mess it up. First off, do NOT send meter strips. They expire two days after they're issued. When you send the envelopes, you must put the stamps on the smaller envelope which is going to be sent back to you. You can buy stamps from the post office (duh), so it really shouldn't be a big deal.

3. No matter how nice the person offering the b&p is, there's always a chance that you'll end up getting screwed. It's happened to me plenty of times. Most of the people in the trading world are good people. If you do end up getting screwed, don't give up hope, chances are that it won't happen again. If you think the person that's offered to help you out is a bad trader, you can check my bad trader list and several others on the web just to make sure.

4. When you send out your CDs, PLEASE have your return address NEATLY written on a separate piece of paper along with a note saying which show the person is to make for you. It makes their lives much easier. If they don't know which show they're to make for you, they've just gotten a couple free blanks, some free postage, and free bubble mailers.

5. I just wanna say that if I have time, I'm more than willing to help anyone out getting started. Having time means that you've checked to see my "newbie/b&p" status on my homepage to see if I'm "active". Please don't beg and grovel for the show, there's really no need for it. Also, a pet peeve of mine, don't tell me that you've "looked everywhere and I'm the ONLY one that has this particular show." It just drives me crazy. Just ask politely and you'll get a response from me.

If you have any questions on anything above, just let me know and I'll be glad to clear it up for you.
